Active

The word active is used to define a distribution or software that is in active development. Several criteria exist to determine this state.

• Ongoing releases of versions

• Updates to existing releases when needed during development.

• Support and development teams that are accessible for contact.

These are just three criteria that could be considered as necessary for a project to be considered active.
